Troon, South AyrshireI bought my house in 0ctober 2020 and because of covid restrictions wasn't able to get my kitchen replaced at first. When restrictions eased I approached Barrmuir kitchens and bathroom Design because they were a local company with good reviews. I was impressed by the Designer, the design and the showroom and agreed to a price much higher than my intended budget. The installation was horrendous - 3 weeks to install and 5 weeks to put things right. So many things went wrong on-site, nothing I was told before I signed the contract actually happened. Shoddy workmanship and faulty shelving etc installed. A horrible company to deal with and a horrible experience. I have a lot of other jobs to do in the house but my experience with Barrmuir has actually made me wary of approaching tradespeople to do the things that need doing. I'm a pensioner and a widow and my feeling is perhaps if I had not been dealing with the company on my own they might have actually complied with their promises but a person by themselves is much more vulnerable to this type of company.
